New Randwick Councillors sworn in for 2017-20 term

Six new Councillors were welcomed to Randwick City Council when results for the recent elections were declared on Saturday 16 September 2017.

Randwick Returning Officer Patricia Lewis declared the results final and the following Councillors duly elected.

Central Ward

Anthony Andrews (IND)

Dylan Parker (ALP)

Ted Seng (LIB)

East Ward

Brendan Roberts (LIB)

Tony Bowen (ALP)

Murray Matson (GRN)

North Ward

Christie Hamilton (LIB)

Kathy Neilson (ALP)

Lindsay Shurey (GRN)

South Ward

Noel D'Souza (IND)

Carlos Da Rocha (IND)

Danny Said (ALP)

West Ward

Harry Stavrinos (LIB)

Alexandra Luxford (ALP)

Philipa Veitch (GRN)

 

All nine current Councillors who chose to recontest their seats were re-elected along with six new Councillors.

The number of female Councillors has risen from two to five – the most ever on the Council in its 158-year history.

Council will elect a Mayor and Deputy Mayor at their first meeting on Tuesday 26 September 2017 at 7pm.
