'Tis the sea-sun to be jolly - Christmas 2017

They say Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year so where better to celebrate the Christmas ‘sea-sun’ but in the most wonderful place – Randwick City.
Randwick City Council is commencing Christmas festivities in November 2017 with decorations, carols, street banners, Christmas concerts and even a visit from Santa.
“The best gift each Christmas is seeing the community come together in good cheer and enjoying time in each other’s presence,” said Mayor Lindsay Shurey.
“We love putting on events that focus on creating this sort of atmosphere, so the whole community has the opportunity experience moments of peace, love and goodwill.”
Randwick City Council’s 2017 Christmas activities include:
- Best Gift Market on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November 2017 at Randwick Community Centre.
- Three free Seniors Christmas Concerts on 29 and 30 November 2017 at The Juniors in Kingsford. For bookings phone Council on 1300722542.
- Christmas street banners in Coogee, Clovelly, Randwick, Maroubra, Matraville and Little Bay.
- Christmas decorations on Randwick Town Hall.
- Five Christmas Carols Concerts across the City.

In addition, Council will help residents who want to hold Christmas street parties to organise street closures. The street parties program reflects Randwick Council’s desire to foster a vibrant and diverse community and create strong partnerships between Council and community groups.
