Thanks to recent community feedback, Randwick City Council has produced a draft Plan of Management for Kensington Park to identify the community’s needs for this valuable outdoor space over the next ten years.

Now on public exhibition until 23 September, the aim of the draft Plan of Management is to identify upgrades that will provide a recreational space reflecting how the community currently uses, and would like to use, Kensington Park and Oval. 

Some of the ideas received from the community during the consultation process include:

Mayor of Randwick, Noel D’Souza, says Council is keen to make changes to Kensington Park and Oval that reflect the needs of the community.

“It’s important we seek feedback from the community in advance of any changes to how Kensington Park and Oval may look in the future.  The ideas we received during the consultation period really highlight the diversity of uses for the area and we think the feedback will see the park really come to life.”
