Occurring off the New South Wales coast in 1964, the aircraft carrier Melbourne and destroyer Voyager were engaged in night flying when Voyager turned in front of Melbourne’s bow, killing eighty-two men aboard the destroyer.
Tony Reid has served 18 years in the RAN in Australia and abroad in all classes of ships including aircraft carriers, frigates and destroyers. He is a volunteer at the National Maritime Museum and specialist in fleet, naval and maritime matters.

This is the monthly meeting of the Cape Banks Family History Society supported by Randwick City Library.
