Leonie’s presentation entitled, ‘Botany Wool’ explores the history of the once vibrant wool industry in Botany, which thrived in the area from the mid-1800s to the 1970s. The talk will explain the occupation of a fellmonger, the origins of the industry in Botany, key industry players, and the reasons for the industry's demise. Leonie's talk will illustrate the story with a selection of historic photos of Floodvale Wool Scour, from the collection of Bayside Council Library.

This is the monthly meeting of the Cape Banks Family History Society supported by Randwick City Library.
