Naches is the Yiddish word referring to joy, love and familial pride. The touring exhibition, curated by Waverley Council and hosted by Lionel Bowen Library, showcases food, rituals and joys of Jewish migrants from Israel, the Soviet Union, Hungary, South Africa, China, Egypt and the Middle before they settled in Sydney’s east.

The Eat, Pray, Naches: Jewish Community Stories project is a touring exhibition on loan from Waverley Library and  is supported through funding from the Australian Governments Community Heritage and Icons Grants Programme.
