Eat, Pray, Naches is an award winning multi-media project that celebrates the eastern beaches’ Jewish community by preserving and sharing the stories of its post-war immigrants and their families.
Held at Lionel Bowen Library until 20 November, this free exhibition showcases food, rituals and joys of Jewish migrants from Israel, the Soviet Union, Hungary, South Africa, China, Egypt and the Middle East. Discover Jewish community’s tales of hardship, courage and optimism.
The Eat, Pray, Naches: Jewish Community Stories project is a touring exhibition on loan from Waverley Library and is supported through funding from the Australian Governments Community Heritage and Icons Grants Programme.
