Children’s Book Week is fast approaching! Randwick City Library is hosting a variety of activity to bring children and books together and celebrating the amazing world of Australian Children's Literature.

This year Children’s Book Week will be held across Saturday 20 August – Friday 26 August 2016 and focusing on the theme of Australia! Story Country.

In preparation for Children’s Book Week, we’re holding three exciting competitions:

To launch Children’s Book Week we will be hosting a special interactive storytelling session with one of Australia’s most popular children’s authors, Frances Watts, at Bowen Library on Saturday 20 August at 11.00am. Frances Watts’ award winning books include: Goodnight Mice!, Kisses for Daddy, Extraordinary Ernie and Marvellous Maud, Parsley Rabbit’s Book about Books and the Sword Girl series. This event is free for children in school years K-6 (or equivalent). Spaces are limited, so book in now!

During Children’s Book Week Kids Club and Saturday Storytime will celebrate the theme of Australia! Story Country, however Babies Love Books and Bop 2 Books will not be running from Monday, 22 August - Friday, 26 August.
