Swimming pools

Nestled in the corner of Heffron Park in Maroubra, DRLC offers a variety of pools and conveniences for both leisure and lap swimming.

  • 50 metre outdoor olympic pool (approx. 26⁰C - 28⁰C)
  • 25 metre indoor competition pool (approx. 28⁰C)
  • 25 metre indoor Rodgers Brothers Training Pool (approx. 32⁰C)
  • Enclosed outdoor dome pool (approx. 32⁰C)
  • Splash Park
  • BBQ facilities available in our spacious outdoor, lawn area

Dome Pool

Conditions of Entry

By entering the Des Renford Leisure Centre, each patron agrees to the following terms and conditions of entry:

  • Management may refuse entry to, or evict a person from, the Centre who in the opinion of Management may compromise the safety or overall enjoyment of other patrons
  • No Personal Trainers permitted at any time
  • Des Renford Leisure Centre Staff only are permitted to conduct learn to swim, swimming coaching and private swimming lessons
  • Des Renford Leisure Centre is a non smoking venue
  • No pass outs will be issued
  • Anyone attempting to gain entry without paying or without authorisation will be prosecuted
  • Patrons are not permitted to bring glass objects or alcohol into the Centre
  • Abusive, disruptive or offensive behaviour and language are not permitted
  • Children under the age of 15 years must be closely supervised by an adult (16 years and over) at all times
  • Cameras and mobile phone cameras are not permitted in change rooms
  • Des Renford Leisure Centre accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings
  • Des Renford Leisure Centre staff directions and all signage must be obeyed at all times
  • Des Renford Leisure Centre’s pool rules must be obeyed at all times: no running, no diving or unruly behaviour
  • Diving blocks are not permitted to be utilised without the written permission of the Centre Manager
  • Patrons enter the Centre and use the facilities at their own risk to the full extent as permitted by law
  • The conditions of entry may be amended by Des Renford Leisure Centre at any time
