Randwick Council will celebrate Bastille Day with French flair on Saturday July 14 at the La Perouse Museum and grounds from 9.30am until 2pm.
To celebrate the French National Day, Randwick Council will host a free family picnic fun day, with music, food stalls kids’ activities and entertainment. The event will also include a wreath-laying ceremony and historical re-enactments, including the firing of two cannons.
Visitors can bring their own picnic blanket and food or choose from one of the stalls offering an array of food such as cheese, macarons, bread, crepes, patisserie items and icecream.
In addition to traditional lawn games, French language class and a macron-making workshop, children can participate in a Parisian-style art or ballet lesson and audiences will be entertained by a wandering accordion player or the Gaston Soufflé kids show.
