Ausgrid will be required to schedule two power outages for Coogee Bay Road between Arden Street and Brook Street on Tuesday 28 April and Friday 15 May 2020.

Following this, minor streetscaping works will be undertaken by Council to bring the project to a conclusion.

Key dates currently scheduled for the completion of the remaining works on Coogee Bay Road between Arden Street and Brook Street include:

Monday 20 April:  Electrical preparation works for the upcoming Ausgrid outage at 226-234 Coogee Bay Road from 7am to 4pm (day works). Approximately 1 week to complete.

Tuesday 28 April: Ausgrid outage for Coogee Bay Road between 9pm and 6am the following morning. Customers specifically affected by this electrical outage will be notified by Ausgrid.

Wednesday 29 April: Electrical works following Ausgrid outage on Coogee Bay Road between Vicar Street and Brook Street from 7am to 4pm (day works). Approximately 2 weeks to complete.

Thursday 14 May: Final Ausgrid outage for Coogee Bay Road between 9pm and 6am the following morning. Customers specifically affected by this electrical outage will be notified by Ausgrid.

Friday 15 May: Removal of old telegraph poles and wires; installation of new smart poles and CCTV/Wifi infrastructure; and completion of remaining minor civil works which includes paving, concrete footpath reinstatement and installation of street furniture. Approximately 6 weeks to complete.

Traffic control and temporary traffic calming devices will be implemented throughout the course of the construction for the safety of the community and contractors.

It is advised that throughout the course of the works, noise, erosion and dust controls will be used to mitigate any adverse impacts on the surrounding community.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused throughout the duration of the project.
