The Spot Festival

Randwick City’s biggest free outdoor festival will return to The Spot and bring even more food, colour, music, entertainment and excitement to the corner of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street, Randwick Mayor Kathy Neilson announced today.

“The Spot Festival is a major annual Council event that celebrates multiculturalism and brings people together to enjoy great food, music and entertainment,” Mayor Neilson said. “This year we’ll have performances by Chilean, Irish, Latino, Mauritian, Scottish and Spanish entertainers, as well as more than 40 gourmet stalls featuring food from a host of different countries.”

Starting at 1pm, The Spot Festival has three stages, which will host live entertainment throughout the day. Plus, there will be roaming street entertainers as well as plenty of fun for the kids, including face painting, a petting zoo, story time and a kids’ science workshop.

Stroll around the festival and check out the market stalls, which will offer plenty of delights for the casual shopper, including vintage wares, jams and pickles, home wares and clothing.

Don’t forget to stay and watch the burger eating contest, which will be an exciting highlight of the day for those with a big appetite. Last but not least, the ever-popular Martini Club will close the Festival and send everyone home happy at 8PM, when the festival winds up for the night.
