The people of Randwick have had their say and the 200 finalists for the Randwick Business Excellence Awards have been chosen.

A mystery shopper will now visit each finalist to evaluate customer service, value for money and overall business presentation, including their online presence, to determine the winner for each category as well as the overall Business of the Year award. 

Where it is impractical for a mystery shopper to visit a business, such as home based, professional or trades and services, the entire category will be judged on the business information submitted online and their websites.

“These are the local businesses that are doing outstanding work in their field, and their customers are obviously happy to sing their praises,” said Randwick Mayor, Lindsay Shurey.

“Small, locally run businesses are key to creating a thriving economy in Randwick City and maintaining a close-knit sense of community. Well done to the businesses that were nominated and received enough votes from the community to become finalists. You should all feel very proud.”

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 1 November 2017 at a Presentation Evening held at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
