Light Rail construction to begin on High Street, Randwick

Sydney Light Rail.

The State Government's Light Rail project will start construction work on High Street, Randwick from 10pm, Friday 31 March 2017.

There will be major changes to travel in the area during construction as High Street is closed to through traffic. Twenty-four-hour emergency, hospital and local access will be maintained throughout construction.

Night time and weekend work is necessary at times for safety and traffic reasons. When required, this will take place from 8pm to 6am.

The traffic changes at High Street, Randwick Bus Route Changes

Light rail construction will mean bus route diversions in the South East and the
removal of stops on High Street.

Routes 348, 370, 400, 410, 418, 891 and M50 will use diverted routes and have new stopping arrangements. There will be changed access to UNSW and the Randwick health precinct, so make sure to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

More bus changes will be required in the area as construction continues, look for pink signs at stops or visit transportnsw.info for the latest information.
