Randwick City Council election 9 September 2017

Randwick City will head to the polls on Saturday 9 September 2017 to elect 15 Councillors. Local Government Councillors are elected by popular vote and are representatives of the people who make decisions about Council expenditure, services and policy.

Each person has only one vote for any council, and voting is compulsory for residents. If you are unable to vote on election day due to disability, illness or travel you can apply for a postal vote or a pre-poll vote. There is no absentee voting in council elections.

Randwick Council is holding two information sessions on Wednesday 28 June 2017 and Wednesday 19 July 2017 for people interested in nominating as candidates for election.

The sessions will be held at Randwick Town Hall from 6.30pm - 9.30pm and will cover the following topics:
