Randwick City 2017 Business Excellence Awards seek to recognise the strivers and innovators

Now is the time for Randwick City residents to show support for their favourite local businesses by nominating them in the 2017 Randwick City Business Excellence Awards, Randwick Mayor Noel D’Souza announced today.

“Our Business Excellence Awards recognise the achievements, innovations and outstanding services provided by individuals and businesses that aim to meet the needs of the Randwick community,” said Mayor D’Souza.

“We know that it takes hard work and persistence to start and maintain a business, and we want to encourage those people to keep striving and innovating because when they do we all benefit as a community.”

Held every two years, the Business Excellence Awards are open to all business located throughout Randwick City. Businesses should register at www.thebusinessawards.com.au to ensure they can receive online votes. Residents can vote for their favourite business at the same site or by using a coupon located at participating businesses. Nominations close Tuesday 5 September.

This year sees the introduction of five new categories:

*         Best Visual Display Interior Design

*         Book Store, Newsagent, Office Supplies

*         Business Sustainability Award

*         Community Professional Services

*         Small Bar

The most popular local businesses will become finalists. Finalist businesses are independently judged to determine the category winners and the overall "Best Business of the Year".
