Randwick City Council is introducing revised parking restrictions in streets as part of Council’s Parking Recovery Plan to support local businesses and residents.

Timed restrictions on streets adjacent to Anzac Parade will help manage parking demand and fairly meet the needs of businesses and residents in the area.

Council will be rolling out changes to parking time limits in the following streets:

Mayor of Randwick, Noel D’Souza, said the changes to parking restrictions are one part of Council’s Parking Recovery Plan, which also includes the creation of 400 new on-street parking spaces across 21 streets to replace the 700 parking spots removed due to light rail construction.

“This is about ensuring parking demand is fairly distributed to meet the requirements of local businesses, residents and visitors to the area.

“These changes will help facilitate a more equitable share of parking for residents and local businesses in Kingsford,” said Mayor D’Souza.

The new parking restrictions will commence on Friday 12 August 2016 in advance of light rail construction scheduled for Anzac Parade from Friday 19 August 2016.
