Our draft $163M Budget and Operational Plan for 2015-16 is on public exhibition from now until 31 May 2015, and I encourage all residents to take a look at the projects we've got planned for the coming year.
I am pleased to say that the draft budget includes more than $34M in direct investment for capital works projects, including a record $10.4M for roads, footpaths, pram ramps and cycling facilities across the City.
Some of the highlights for the draft budget include:
- $1.3M for environmental programs to preserve Randwick City's natural environment and outdoor lifestyle
- $5.9M will be invested for further open space upgrades and developments at Heffron Park
- $115,000 for new BBQs and lighting along the Maroubra Beach promenade
- $385,000 on stage one historical restoration of Randwick Town Hall plus inclusion of disability access
You can have your say by visiting www.yoursay.randwick.nsw.gov.au/budget2016 or viewing the documents in hard copies at Council's Administration Building or libraries.
