Earth Hour 2015

Most people are probably unaware that Earth Hour is now supported by over 162 countries in more than 7000 cities, and Randwick City is proud to be one of those cities!

While maintaining its original focus of turning-off the lights for one hour, Earth Hour is now also a worldwide phenomenon that challenges everyone to change their ways and minimise their environmental impact!

Earth Hour is on again on Saturday 28 March 2015, and this year the theme is focussed on 'sustainable food from sustainable Aussie farms'. Randwick City Council is offering two great prizes that promote low-light dining and Australian grown produce.

Firstly, we have a number of local cafés and restaurants offering low-light dining for the event and a chance for diners to win a fantastic family getaway, all as part of our dine by candlelight promotion.

Secondly, for those families participating in Earth Hour at home, we're offering the chance to win one of 10 special gourmet packs full of sustainable produce.

Let's remember the impact we can have on our environment and make every hour earth hour in Randwick City.
