Construction work is underway this month at the Coogee Senior Citizens Centre to give the building and surrounds new life as part of Council's Buildings for our Community Program (BFOC).

The project will see the community facility upgraded with a new roof, new kitchen facilities, a disability access ramp and the addition of paved accessible terraces with views across the sports oval and park. 

The redesign and upgrade of the centre means we are now able to offer the community a space that is even more flexible and can be utilised in a number of different ways.

Given the great location of the building and the facilities that it will have available, I am sure this is going to be extremely popular for everything from yoga classes to meetings, corporate functions and birthday parties.

Buildings For Our Community provides the community with improved and additional facilities that contribute to public amenity and the wellbeing of our residents and visitors.
