Local children attend Roosters coaching clinic

Last week, we hosted our first coaching clinic with the Sydney Roosters at Burrows Park, Clovelly.

Despite the cold and wet weather, 100 children from primary schools in Randwick, Clovelly, and Coogee took part in the activity with members of the club's first grade squad - including Mitch Aubusson, Kane Evans, Jackson Hastings and Brendan Elliot.

The players spent the afternoon with the kids, running the coaching clinic, telling stories, signing autographs and sharing afternoon tea.

We are extremely thankful that the Sydney Roosters share so much time giving back to our local community. I would like to also thank Cr Murray Matson for taking the time last week to attend the event on my behalf.

Randwick Council partners with the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs to deliver a number of programs to encourage children to engage with different learning styles while rewarding their achievements with NRL tickets and merchandise. The partnerships also include support for volunteer and indigenous programs in the community.
