Beach Breaks Carnival

We are so lucky to live in a city that's home to many spectacular beaches, especially Maroubra – a surfing mecca and the first beach in NSW to be declared a National Surfing Reserve.

Each year we celebrate all that's wonderful about Maroubra with our annual Beach Breaks Carnival. This year, the Carnival will return on Sunday 26 July with NSW Junior Surf titles, unveiling of inductees into the Australian Surfing Walk of Fame and a beachside festival of family fun.

The Beach Breaks Carnival is a celebration of Maroubra Beach and the unique cultural history the area has. As well as plenty of surf action for spectators, we'll have mouth-watering food, colourful market stalls, and lots of rides and kids' activities – including dodgem cars and a trackless train.

The Beach Breaks Carnival recognises our community, our culture and local and international surfing success.

What a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some beachside entertainment in the middle of winter. I hope you get the chance to come down and enjoy the family fun.
