I am pleased to announce that Chifley Skate Park will officially open on Thursday 17 December.

The Skate Park is part of the impressive Chifley Sports Reserve upgrade, which is set to become Randwick’s newest outdoor sporting recreational facility.

We are currently building two buildings at the park and in 2016, construction will start on the first all-abilities playground in Randwick catering specifically to children with disabilities. 

These projects are directly funded by ratepayers and are investing in the future of our community for the benefit of generations to come. They create important meeting and socialising places and facilitate healthy recreational activity. 

I hope you will join me to officially open the Skate Park this Thursday. Get the kids to bring their boards along and enjoy an afternoon of free activities, a skate demonstration and food. I look forward to seeing you there.
