Coastal Walkway

We know that every year our beaches attract thousands of people during the summer season. We also have another local attraction that's becoming world renown – the Eastern Beaches Coastal Walkway.

The Coastal Walkway that stretches from Bondi to La Peruse is now rated as the number one tourist destination in Sydney on Trip Advisor, beating the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

This month, we are asking residents and visitors what they love about the walkway and what they'd like to see changed by pinning their ideas on an online, interactive map.

In Randwick, the walk is uninterrupted from Clovelly to South Coogee, but there are gaps in the walkway at Lurline Bay, Malabar Headland and through the four golf courses south of Malabar Beach.

This financial year we've committed $800,000 to design work and I'm hopeful we'll be able to start work on a walkway through the western edge of Malabar Headland to link Maroubra and Malabar Beaches.

Take a look at the site and have your say about our number one attraction www.yoursay.randwick.nsw.gov.au/chat
