Looking after our environment

Randwick City Council will mark Seniors Week 2012 with a gardening workshop, twilight tour and information expo at Randwick Town Hall to celebrate the contributions and the diversity of seniors in our community.

Seniors Week this year will be celebrated from 18 - 25 March with the theme of 'Live Life!'

Activities during the week in Randwick City will include a Therapeutic Gardening workshop, a twilight tour of the Prince Henry Hospital Nursing and Medical Museum, a Seniors Information Expo at Randwick Town Hall that will showcase a range of local community services and information, and healthy living workshops for older people presented in partnership with the Eastern Sydney Multicultural Access Project.

Randwick Mayor Cr Scott Nash encouraged seniors to participate in activities during the week and take advantage of the information on offer at the Expo.
"Seniors Week is a great opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the wisdom of seniors, and the many and diverse contributions they make to our community.

"Council is committed to planning, developing and managing services that are appropriate and meet the needs of older people in our community."

The Seniors Information Expo will be held on Wednesday 21 March from 11am - 2pm at Randwick Town Hall.
