In an innovative pilot project, Randwick City Council will provide free WiFi at The Spot and High Cross Park in Randwick, and at either Clovelly or Coogee Beach.
Mayor of Randwick Councillor Tony Bowen said free WiFi zones help improve access to information for the local business community, residents and visitors.
“The way most of us receive and share information, and how we work and socialise has changed dramatically. We’re committed to giving residents and visitors to our area access to new technology.”
“These free WiFi areas will provide even more reasons to visit our retail and town centres,” he said.
Council wants to hear from residents about whether to trial WiFi at Coogee or Clovelly Beach and how late the WiFi should operate.
