The acclaimed Arrebato Ensemble will thrill a lucky audience at Randwick Town Hall on Friday 17 August as part of Randwick City Council’s increasingly popular Arts and Cultural Program for 2012.

Arrebato Ensemble, led by flamenco guitarist Greg Alfonzetti, is a diverse group of talented musicians who have worked together to develop original music with contemporary flamenco as their compositional and rhythmic driving force.

Sure to appeal to aficionados of world music and lovers of fine chamber music, their work has been highly praised and described as ‘passionately moving’ and a unique fusion of jazz and flamenco.

Community Project Officer Avril Jeans says Council is honoured to be hosting Arrebato Ensemble as part of the Arts and Cultural Program for this year.

“Randwick City is home to a vibrant creative community with a thriving and diverse cultural life. We are thrilled to be hosting Arrebato Ensemble and it’s a great honour to have musicians of such calibre play in our own City.

“This is a thrilling opportunity to enjoy some live music, and what better way to start the weekend than enjoying the performance and sampling some of the delicious food available at the Town Hall.”

Arrebato Ensemble will perform on Friday 17 August from 7pm at Randwick Town Hall. Doors open at 6pm with delicious food on sale. Call 1300 306776 to book or go to www.mca-tix.com.au
