Draft Management Plan and Budget

The Randwick City Council Draft Management Plan 2009-13 sets out what the Council wants to achieve over the next four year period. It is the Council's primary contract with the community.

The 2009-13 Management Plan and the 2009-10 Draft Budget are now on public exhibition for community comment until 2 June 2009.

Some key initiatives in this Management Plan include:

  • a $250,000 upgrade of the Kensington town centre
  • $1.3 million to continue the redevelopment of The Loop Road at La Perouse
  • $150,000 towards the Cycleways Program and
  • reconstruction of the Bieler Reserve playground in Randwick.

The plan sets out what the Council is planning to do about -

  • footpaths, roads and buildings
  • maintaining our community assets
  • water and energy saving
  • local town centres
  • sports fields and parks
  • coastal walkway
  • libraries
  • implementing the Randwick City Plan.

As part of the community consultation process in developing the Draft Management Plan, the Council asked precinct meetings for suggestions of what they would like included. Information on these suggestions and the Council's responses are available through your local precinct.
