Arthur Byrne Reserve is a large beachside park located directly behind South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club. It has many grassed areas screened by native trees and shrubs, making it an ideal location for a BBQ or picnic. Larger and more open areas are used for kite flying, informal ball sports, walking and jogging.

Park facilities include picnic shelters, BBQs, bubblers, beach access and toilets and change rooms in the SLSC. The Maroubra Skate Park is located within the reserve.
