Ross Jones Memorial Pool

Beach Street, Coogee

The Ross Jones Memorial Pool was built in 1947. It is located next to the Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) at Coogee Beach.

The National Trust has observed that the pool is significant due to the unique design, which includes concrete piers that extend above the wall resembling turrets at the top of a sandcastle. The pool has a long history of association with local swimming clubs and their members. The pool is used by the Coogee Penguins, a winter swimming club.
