The City of Randwick has fourteen dog exercise parks. In these parks, dogs are allowed to be off the leash but must be under the control of a competent person at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the prohibited areas.
Dogs are not permitted in other public parks and reserves except when kept on a leash, unless a notice in the park indicates otherwise. There are also opportunities for dogs to be exercised in Centennial Park and Queens Park.
When your dog is not on your property it is your responsibility to ensure that:
- your dog is wearing a collar and current identification tag
- your dog be controlled on a leash (except in council off-leash areas)
- any dog droppings from your dog are picked up and disposed of.
To protect the environment and the health of others, your dog must NOT enter the following spaces:
- eating areas
- schools or childcare grounds
- wildlife protection areas
- within ten metres of children's playground equipment.
