Dogs that attack can be seized, unless the dog was provoked or was protecting someone. The owner is responsible for any damage that the dog may have caused to a person or animal.
If a dog attacks a person or another animal, you need to contact Council immediately. If the incident occurs after hours please contact Maroubra Police on 9349 9299. There are heavy fines and penalties for dog owners who do not control their animals.
