Your green waste or garden organics bin is a 240 litre bin with a green lid. Garden materials, such as grass clippings, leaves, flowers, weeds, Twigs and small branches, can be put into your green waste bin. Check what can go in my green waste bin?
The green waste bin is collected every second week - on the alternate week to the recycling bins. Materials left outside the bin will not be collected. To avoid spillage, do not overfill your bin. You can drop extra green waste off at the Recycling Centre.
If green waste is contaminated, it goes to landfill. Be careful and don't contaminate your green waste. Check what cannot go in my green waste bin.
Congratulations to Randwick residents on their success in diverting more than 39,000 tonnes of green waste from landfill. Green waste diversion, either through kerbside green waste recycling or to personal compost bins, helps enrich and revitalise the local environment.

Do not put this sort of material in your green waste bin |
