Fridge buyback

Do you have an old working second fridge you no longer need? If so, you may be able to participate in the NSW Government's Fridge Buyback scheme. Fridge Buyback is an energy efficiency scheme that helps you reduce your electricity bill while helping out the environment. If your second working fridge is at least 10 years old and larger than 250 litres you may be able to participate. By participating you can have your second fridge removed and save energy. Rebates of $35 are also available, check the conditions to see if you're eligible. For further information visit the Fridge Buyback website.

Randwick City Council provides its residents with four clean-up collections each year. Residents who use these services can put out unwanted household goods such as furniture, white goods, appliances and mattresses, the night before the assigned clean-up collection day. Green waste and hazardous waste will not be collected on clean-up days.

Residents of Randwick are entitled to two scheduled clean-up collections and two on-call clean-up collections each year.

Scheduled clean-up collection dates are set by the Council. Contact us or refer to your Waste Calendar to find out the scheduled clean-up dates for your area.

On-call clean-up collection dates can be nominated by the resident. Contact us or complete an enquiry form if you wish to book an on-call collection.

In addition, special paid pick-ups can be arranged. You will be given a quotation on the fee to be charged. Contact us.

DO NOT deposit waste materials on streets outside your collection times, or on public land at any time. This is Illegal dumping and may lead to a heavy fine.
