Our team at the Randwick Sustainability Education Hub look forward to showing you our innovative sustainability centre and inspiring your students to be more energy and water aware in their school and home.

The 2011 school excursion program is brought to you by Randwick City Council and is supported by the NSW Government's Climate Change Fund.

What is the cost of the excursion?

This school excursion program is FREE to schools in Randwick City. The 2011 pilot program is brought to you by Randwick City Council and is supported by the NSW Climate Change Fund.

Schools who book into this pilot excursion program will be able to receive a refund on their bus transport invoice. Just provide a reimbursement invoice, including a copy of your bus receipt to Council's Sustainability Education Officer.

How do we book?

School visits are offered on Thursday and Fridays.

It is easy with these three simple steps:

Step 1

  • Early Childhood and Stage One:
    Energy: Hello Sun
    Water: Water our Resource and/or Sounds like Water
  • Stage Three:
    Energy: Electricity Rocks

Step 2
Select a half day for full day option

  • Half day: approximately 10:00am to 12:30pm (choose one lesson)
  • Full day: approximately 10:00am to 2:30pm (choose 2 lessons)

Step 3
Fill out the booking form (pdf 967 kb)and return it to Council's Sustainability Education Officer

Bookings should be made at least 2-3 weeks in advance.

We can cater for 1-3 classes run concurrently.

Do you have a risk management plan for the school visit site?

email Council's Sustainability Education Officer for a copy of the Risk Management form.

What will students bring on the day?

  • healthy 'nude food' morning tea and lunch if you are on a full day program, there are no catering facilities available on site
  • hat and wet weather gear if needed, wear closed shoes and appropriate clothing.
