Coastal Walkways

Over recent years, the Sustaining our City program has funded a number of major upgrades along sections of Randwick's popular coastal walkway, to ensure that our fragile coastline is protected from the millions of visits it receives each year.

Recent engineering works have been completed south of Trennery Reserve to provide a new spectacular cliff top walkway along Alexandria Parade to Lurline Bay and beyond to Jack Vanny Reserve at Maroubra.

Current works have been completed for Bunya Parade, Clovelly car park, Frenchman's Bay and Bicentenial Park.

On 27 March 2008, Randwick City Council launched in conjunction with the Sydney Coastal Councils Group Inc and Sydney Walking Volunteers the 'Clovelly to La Perouse' Walking Coastal Sydney guide & completion of the 15 day Walking trail guide for Sydney.

The 'Clovelly to La Perouse' walking guide is the final guide in a series of the seven walking guides mapping a network of walking routes from Palm Beach to Cronulla. The guides detail both short and long walks, short walks using public transport, walking times and details for personal safety.

The vision of the Walking Coastal Sydney project is to promote public access to, and enhance the appreciation and recreational enjoyment of Sydney's coastline and estuaries for the people of Sydney and visitors to the city.

Maps are available from Randwick Council's Administration Centre and Council's Libraries.

Or you can download the brochures from the Walking Coastal Sydney web site.
