Actinotus helianthia

Randwick's Biodiversity Strategy is designed to improve the understanding and protection of local fauna and flora and the habitat that plants and animals depend upon.

Supported by surveys of Randwick's local frog, reptile and bird populations, the results (below) highlight a rich and abundant biodiversity in the City of Randwick, with more than 200 bird species alone recorded in Randwick, which is approximately a third of all recorded bird species found in Australia.

The Biodiversity Strategy details the key management steps required to ensure that the diverse numbers of plants and animals continue to call Randwick home.
