Would you like some street trees planted outside your property? Fill in a Street Tree Planting Request form (pdf 70.68 kb) to apply to have one or two trees planted outside your house.
You can then contribute in a very practical way to the ongoing care and maintenance of those newly planted street trees by participating in Council's Adopt a Street Tree program (pdf 2.3 Mb).
Alternatively, you may wish to be actively involved in selecting the trees for your street and take part in planting and maintaining those trees. You can do this by signing on to the Council's Community Street Tree Planting Project (pdf 76 kb).
Randwick City Council has developed a Street Tree Masterplan (pdf 10 Mb). This is a comprehensive set of recommendations for managing Randwick's street trees. It also sets out strategies on tree planting, principles for tree rehabilitation, priorities for conversion of overhead powerlines and the phased removal and replacement of inappropriate tree species.
The Street Tree Identification Manual lists the characteristics and requirements of each of the tree species nominated in the masterplan.
