Council's Tree Management Technical Manual (pdf 2.7Mb) nominates and defines the technical standards and specifications necessary for the proper management of trees, particularly in relation to urban development and construction work, as well as providing recommendations for a range of works associated with tree management in the urban environment.

It is intended to be used as both a regulatory and reference document by Council officers and operational staff, property owners, developers and contractors in relation to all tree management and maintenance standards and procedures.

Council acknowledges the assistance of Tree Wise Men ® Australia Pty Limited in relation to preparation of its original Tree Management Technical Manual - in particular the provision of its copyright material in relation to Critical Root Zones and Primary Root Zones.
