Customer service: Silvio delivering books to housebound customers

If you live in the Randwick City Area and you have difficulty in getting to the library for medical or mobility reasons, you can join the Home Library Service. A selection of titles will be brought to your doorstep every second week.
 
The service is free.
 
Telephone 9314 4888 and ask for Jane or Magnolia. They will join you up, get information from you about your reading, viewing and listening preferences and organise a delivery day. You can have a bag of titles to match your reading interests, which may include:

  • Fiction and non-fiction books in normal or LARGE PRINT print
  • Spoken Words books in CD format to play on your CD player
  • Magazines in normal or the Readers Digest in LARGE PRINT
  • Music CDs of various genres such jazz, orchestral and country and western
  • Movies, musicals, documentaries, opera, TV series on DVD
  • A wide selection of magazines, books, DVDs, and CDs in langauges other than English

Home Library Service patrons can change their preferences as they wish and to request titles they are interested in whether they are new titles they heard on radio or television or they have seen in the newspapers, or old favourites they would like to re-read.
 
Home library service staff, with the support from volunteers will select library material according to your preference and Silvio will deliver the resources to your door.
