Randwick City Council supports the principles of reconciliation and is committed to working together with all members of the community towards the achievement of a reconciled nation. Council's Reconciliation Statement outlines ways in which, as a community, we can build on progress towards reconciliation.
Council, in consultation with the Indigenous community, works to identify the needs of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and provides advice, support and information to meet these needs. Council participates in the Eastern Region Local Government Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Forum and convenes the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People's Advisory Group.
Council is also involved with the local community in organising NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Day activities.
The information brochure Services for People from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Background provides information on services to assist ATSI people.

Representatives from Botany, Randwick, Sydney, Waverley and Woollahra Councils, as well as members from local indigenous communities and their organisations, work together through the Forum.
The forum is hosted by Waverley Council and meetings are held bimonthly at the Mill Hill Centre in Bondi Junction.
