Thank you to everyone who came along and made the 2012 Spot Festival such a huge success! More than 20,000 people came along over the course of the day to join in a vibrant community street party and a huge celebration of food and film.
Soulganic rocked the main stage, the Festival bar served up plenty of summery sangria, kids enjoyed the roving performers, cup cake decorating, face painting and all sorts of fun. MC James Valentine kept the crowd entertained, and Barry Otto and Deborah Mailman were inducted into the Australian Film Walk of Fame outside the iconic Ritz Cinema in front of a wildly enthusiastic crowd.
Randwick City Council would like to acknowledge the huge efforts of all the performers, stallholders, local businesses at The Spot, local residents and visitors who all contributed to a wonderful day in the beautiful sunshine! The Spot has really carved a niche as a unique culinary destination, and reflects the diversity and energy of our City.
Mark the date of Sunday 10 March 2013 in your diaries for the sixth Spot Festival - let's make it bigger and better than ever!
